I recently ordered a new seat for my savage out of the jc whitney catalog. I was very excited about getting the new seat. it came in today and I opened the box, it was the worng one. they sent me a solo seat when I ordered a two up seat. not very happy at this time I called them. I told the lady what had happened, she asked me what year the bike was and I told her '99 she then said that the reson they sent me the solo seat was because the one I ordered was only good for the '86-98 models. I told her that the one for the 98 would still fit and that I wanted to trade in the one they sent for the one I ordered. she told me no, she wouldn't do that because she knows that the other wont work. so I was getting rather mad now so I asker her, do you have a savage sitting in front of you right now? she of course said no. so I said well I do I have my 99 and my neighbors 98 here in front of me and the seat attatches exactly the same and she still refused to sell me the seat. she said that their was a some small changes to the body between 98 and 99. this is comeing from someone who has proubablly never seen a savage. well ups is going to come and pick up the solo seat they sent and they are going to credit my acount. so I guess I'll call back and tell them I have a 98 savage and order the seat that I want. sorry to be bitchy I'm sure none of you really care about this but I had to blow off some steam somewhere so hear it is. thank you for your time.
